Robert Freeman uses his belt to beat his grandkids if they misbehave (mostly Riley), though he has also used it in other situations such as self-defense from enemies. Robert shows quite a bit of skill with his belt, capable of not just whipping foes, but also binding their limbs.

- Huey is the only one not to be hit by Robert's belt as he doesn't misbehave (unlike Riley), although Robert attempted to use the belt on him in "Breaking Granddad" for lying about an explosive compound used to make a bomb.
- Colonel H. Stinkmeaner, but while his spirit was possessing Tom DuBois' body.
- Rufus Crabmiser, as he was attacking Robert.
- Some white supremacists who were attacking Robert and the Freedom Riders in 1961 Alabama.
